The countdown is on for Emly Summer Fest 2026, a vibrant four-day community festival taking place from Thursday, 9th July to Sunday, 12th July, with a packed programme of events celebrating local heritage, music, sport, family fun and community spirit.
The festival begins on Thursday, 9th July, with Cemetery Mass at 7.30pm, followed by refreshments, offering an opportunity for the community to come together in remembrance and reflection.
On Friday, 10th July, celebrations continue with a special focus on local history as Callanan’s marks an incredible 100 years at the crossroads, having been established by Tom Dwyer in 1926. Throughout the day there will be live giveaways and broadcasts from Tipperary Mid West Radio, before the evening programme gets underway. Families and friends can enjoy Skittles in the Church Car Park at 7.00pm, followed by a fun-filled Table Quiz.
Saturday promises something for everyone, beginning at 11.00am with a bustling Market, featuring local crafts, baking, refreshments and live music throughout the day. At 3.00pm, visitors are invited to take part in a scenic forest walk, while the festivities continue into the evening with music from 10.00pm.
The festival concludes on Sunday, 12th July, with a Sports Day taking place in the GAA Field from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. Organised by Bord na nÓg and supported by Tipperary County Council, the afternoon promises fun and games for all ages.
Emly Summer Fest continues to showcase everything that makes the village special — it’s strong sense of community, rich heritage and warm welcome. With events designed for all generations, organisers are encouraging everyone, whether local or visiting, to come along and enjoy a fantastic weekend of celebration.
